Absolutely stunning 1950s vintage organza and lace gown. Truly gorgeous and fit for a queen and is certainly the embodiment of old Hollywood glamour! We believe this dress could potentially be a Helen Rose but alas, the only remaining label is from Nan Duskin.
We can't get over the construction of this piece! The white mircofloral lace is entirely hand printed with black toile-like floral motif, set amongst panels of inset solid black organza. Classic 1950s construction with strapless bodice, nipped waist and full skirt. The bodice features gathered black organza around the edges and scalloped lace trim. We particularly love the cascading black organza panel in the back! Metal zipper in back. Fully lined.
Excellent vintage condition. Freshly cleaned and ready to wear. We did find one 1.5cm hole near the hem in the back. Absolutely invisible when worn and we only found it when steaming.
