Vintage 1950s heavy weight bouclé balloon jacket. Amazing piece and taken right from the lines of Balenciaga!

Cristóbal Balenciaga popularized the balloon jacket in the early 1950s and it quickly became a sought after trend and was often copied by contemporaries like Dior, Cardin . These days, it is particularly difficult to find and we couldn't be happier to have this fun (probably) American take on the look! Super heavy weight wool boucle with with nipped waist, plunging neckline, dolman sleeves and lovely ballooned rear. We love the sparkly button! Excellent vintage condition - there is a bit of discoloration to the lining which is not visible when worn but the outside is pristine. Alas - no labels survived on this beauty!
