Stunning early Bill Blass for Maurice Rentner vintage 1960s lace cocktail dress. Absolutely stunning piece + ultra rare find. Entirely made from stunning hand-made tape lace. High empire waist with flared hips. Classic 1960s silhouette. Amazing rhinestone straps. Fully lined in creamy silk with hidden waist-stay. A note on condition – while the exterior of the dress in pristine, we noticed that the original owner had taken the straps ups to shorten the dress and had done a less than stellar job of resewing them to the wrong side of the lining. We had them put back on correctly + tucked inside the lining but there are some pick marks in the lining near the straps. NOT AT ALL visible from the outside but worth mentioning. Has been freshly cleaned and is ready to wear.
