Oversized silk baseball jacket with batwing sleeves, nehru neckline and snap front. Rainbow colored tightly sequin and beaded avant garde pattern. Fully lined in acrylic. Does have shoulder pads within the lining that can easily be removed by a seamstress.
Graduating from the Fashion Institute of Technology in 1985, Jeanette became the sole designer of Jeanette for St. Martin and later her own line, Jeanette. She is known for her colorful, highly detailed hand beaded, sequined and embroidered works, often times with playful imagery such as candy bars or Looney Tunes. Her work fetches high prices at auction and can be seen in many museums.
Excellent vintage condition. Tagged a size small but due to its construction and oversized nature, it can fit a variety of sizes.
